Weill Medical College of Cornell University S Building Renovations

RBSD provided schematic design for phased renovations to the 40-year-old “S” building. As grant monies were received, the firm completed work on the full infrastructure, façade, and roof repair, as well as design of several floors to modernize and reconfigure laboratories and to rehabilitate existing office space areas. These completed projects included full design of a Gene Therapy Facility on the 9th and 10th floors, including vector research and production laboratories with animal holding facilities. On the eighth floor, RBSD designed the Department of Nephrology, including laboratories, glasswash, radioactive and equipment storage facilities, and an office/ conference/ lounge/library suite.
