Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center Heart Center, East Patchogue, NY

As part of RBSD's design for the new emergency department addition (the Clare F. Rose Emergency, Trauma & Chest Pain Pavilion), the firm provided shell space at the concourse level. RBSD is currently providing design services for the completion of this 25,000-square-foot space in order to create a new Heart Center and ancillary facilities.

The project will enable Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center to provide state-of-the-art cardiac diagnosis, treatment, and care. The new facility will include cardiac catheterization, cardiac rehabilitation, cardiac diagnostic services, and cardiac administration. The new space will also feature a conference center and emergency department administration offices, which will enable the existing emergency department to expand its patient facilities. The new Heart Center will take advantage of natural light in the entrance lobby on the first floor to create a therapeutic, spa-like environment to put patients and their families at ease.
