Client: Long Beach Medical Center, Long Beach, NY
RBSD provided design services for a 160-bed, five-story addition to the existing 200-bed nursing home. The long, narrow site fronts the Reynolds Channel; the design locates dining areas, lounges, solaria, and as many rooms as possible facing the water. The plan is configured as a raceway design, with service and support facilities in the center and resident rooms and shared spaces around the periphery. 185 beds are classified as skilled nursing facility beds; 15 beds are designed as ventilator-dependent beds. |
