RBSD was responsible for full service design and construction administration for a new 250-bed long-term care facility for frail geriatric, ventilator-dependent, and Alzheimer's residents as well as younger veterans with a range of behavioral and substance abuse conditions. The building consists of L-shaped nursing units connected by a central services and circulation core containing shared lounge, dining, and quiet room spaces, as well as a central four-story atrium that provides both a focal point for lounges and resident rooms and an indoor/outdoor wandering area for Alzheimer's residents. |
